Small Luxury Hotels of the World has added a new accommodation option in Egypt through the addition of AQUA the Dahabeya on the Nile River.
The three-deck ship features just eight cabins and suites – 6x Aqua Luxury Cabins (28 sqm), 1x Polaris Suite (60 sqm) and 1x Moonlight Suite (70 sqm). Onboard there will be a well-equipped AQUA Gym and AQUA Spa, and guests will be invited to participate in cooking classes and enjoy a Nubian-themed dinner and live show.

AQUA the Dahabeya also offers an elegant dining space; a terrace and solarium – ideal for basking under the Egyptian sun and a plunge pool.
“Awaken to the majestic splendor of the Nile, where luxury meets timeless grace. AQUA offers a bespoke journey crafted to immerse you in an oasis of tranquility and refined elegance,” marketing material from the operator says.
“A luxurious Dahabeya that offers an intimate cruise experience curated just for you. Impeccable experiences help you unwind and absorb Egyptian culture along the historical banks of Egypt.”
AQUA the Dahabeya will operate two itineraries. A five- and a six-night sailing between Luxor and Aswan with overnights at Esna, Besaw Island, Al Hirbiab Island and Aswan. However the operator’s website lists three cruise options, two from Luxor (4- and 5-nights duration) and one from Aswan (3-nights).
As to be expected, given the destination, cabins and suites feature 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen, towels and bathrobes.
AQUA the Dahabeya will operate from its own private dock, located 20 minutes from Luxor and Aswan International Airport.
Bookings are available on a per cabin/suite basis, or the entire ship can be chartered.
